As a result of this, only version 1.4 is available on our website. For more information, please visit the IfATE’s website.
Team Leaders hold operational and project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a desired outcome. Clarity is therefore critical in this job, and those who thrive in it must be able to clearly communicate what's needed, why it's needed, and when it's needed so everyone under their direction can complete their work efficiently. Team Leader apprentices are likely to enjoy varied careers, as all sectors require the skills this standard provides.
End-Point Assessment Components
To complete their End-Point Assessment, Team Leader apprentices must achieve a pass or distinction in the following two components.
-
The apprentice is given a presentation title and has two weeks to submit their presentation materials, which should provide a summary of their role as a Team Leader, what they do and how it’s relevant to their role and organisation.
The End-Point Assessor has up to two weeks to review the submitted materials before the apprentice delivers a 20-minute (+10%) presentation. Following the presentation, there’s a 30-minute (+10%) questioning session.
-
The professional discussion is a structured, two-way dialogue between the apprentice and their End-Point Assessor. The discussion is supported by the portfolio of evidence submitted by the apprentice at gateway. The portfolio is not directly assessed.
The End-Point Assessor will ask the apprentice at least five competency-based questions to prompt discussions related to the knowledge, skills and behaviours assigned to this assessment.
The professional discussion lasts 60 minutes (+10% at the End-Point Assessor’s discretion).
