Coming in 2025: Entry Level Functional Skills
The best Functional Skills offering on the market just got better with the addition of Entry Level 1, 2 and 3.
What are we launching?
In 2024, we launched Functional Skills English and maths at levels 1 and 2, but we were never going to stop there! In 2025, we will be adding Entry Level 1, 2 and 3 Functional Skills Qualifications in English and maths so you and your learners can get the full suite in one place.
How many assessments will be available?
We will publish four new assessments, per level and subject, every year. They will be downloadable for approved centres from our online portal at the start of the academic year. Assessments are available in paper-based format only; online assessment is not available at Entry Level, but this will be kept under review should there be sufficient demand.
How will they be assessed?
Maths qualifications are assessed by externally-set controlled assessments. The Reading and Writing components of the English qualifications are assessed through externally-set controlled assessments and the SLC component through an internally-set controlled assessment. Centres are responsible for all delivery and marking and all assessments are subject to internal and external quality assurance.
