The difference between AEB and ASF
The ASF is new for the 2024-2025 financial year, taking over from the previous Adult Education Budget (AEB). Like the AEB, it helps train, empower and prepare adult learners for the evolving demands of today’s fast-paced workforce.
When it comes to eligibility, the ASF makes sure that funding is focused on learners who live in non-devolved areas of England, helping bridge skills gaps and targeting support where it’s needed most. The fund also backs specific adult learning programs with a clear focus: boosting employability and job readiness while aligning with key economic goals.
