Barbering professionals work within customer-facing environments varying from small family establishments to larger high-street chains. Excellent customer service and safe working practices are essential. Barbers need to be able to carry out consultations and provide services on a variety of hair types. They must also be abe to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of barbering techniques, style and finish hair to create a variety of looks, cut facial hair into shape and provide shaving services.

End-Point Assessment Components 

To complete their End-Point Assessment, Barbering apprentices must achieve a pass or distinction in the following two components.
